High-Quality Integrated Monitoring: The All-in-One Solution
The Veswe Soil Triple-One Sensor is a compact, multi-parameter probe designed for real-time measurement of soil temperature, moisture content, and electrical conductivity (EC). Set against lush tea plantation hills, its black epoxy housing features three stainless steel pins for direct soil insertion—acting as a precise Soil Moisture Sensor, a reliable temperature gauge, and an accurate conductivity meter all in one. The green label clearly identifies it as a “SOIL MOISTURE SENSOR” with specs for CHW (Moisture), CHC (Conductivity), and TEMP. Powered by DC 5–30V and offering versatile outputs like RS485, 4–20mA, 0–5V, and 0–10V, this Soil Moisture Sensor integrates seamlessly into any control system. Ideal for precision agriculture, it drives decision-making by providing a complete picture of soil health. As a versatile tool, it eliminates the need for multiple separate probes. Whether used for research or commercial farming, this device delivers lab-grade accuracy in the field—making it the definitive choice for integrated soil monitoring.

Comprehensive Monitoring Across Diverse Environments
Four application scenarios illustrate the incredible versatility of this Soil Moisture Sensor. In Greenhouses, it monitors substrate conditions for leafy greens, acting as a critical control point to optimize irrigation and nutrient dosing. In Horticultural Planting, it tracks EC and moisture in potted ornamentals like bromeliads, preventing root rot or salt buildup before visible symptoms appear. In Tree Gardens, it assesses root-zone status during transplanting or drought stress, helping orchard managers save valuable trees. In Grain Storage, it detects ambient humidity near stored piles, preventing mold growth and spoilage due to condensation—a unique application beyond typical field use. This adaptability makes the Soil Moisture Sensor invaluable for controlled-environment agriculture, post-harvest logistics, and urban greening initiatives. Its robust design ensures it performs equally well in a pot or a pasture, protecting your assets across diverse sectors.

IP68 Protection & Epoxy Resin Vacuum Sealing
Two key engineering highlights define the durability of this Soil Moisture Sensor. IP68 High-Level Protection ensures the overall fuselage is waterproof and dustproof, allowing it to be submerged in water for long periods without failure. Visuals show the sensor partially submerged with splashes, proving its sealing integrity under extreme wet conditions. Epoxy Resin Vacuum Glue fills the gap between the probe and body via a high-temp vacuum process, preventing moisture ingress effectively. Close-ups reveal the seamless bond at the pin entry point, which is critical for preventing failure in saline or acidic soils over years of deployment. No other Soil Moisture Sensor offers such complete protection against water and dust—guaranteeing data integrity even in flooded paddies.

Stainless Steel Probe & High-Quality Chip: Durability Meets Precision
Two technical components highlight the excellence of this Soil Moisture Sensor. The Stainless Steel Metal Probe is made from austenitic 316 stainless steel—anti-rust, non-electrolytic, and resistant to salt and alkali corrosion. This makes it ideal for coastal farmlands, reclaimed industrial sites, or compost-rich substrates where standard probes degrade rapidly. The High Quality Chip features a low-power MCU paired with a high-grade operational amplifier, ensuring low power consumption, high sensitivity, and stable signal transmission even in noisy environments with electromagnetic interference. This combination of rugged hardware and smart electronics makes it the premier choice for professional-grade data in tough field conditions.

Quick Test & Burial Survey: Flexible Deployment Methods
Illustrated guides show two distinct usage techniques for this Soil Moisture Sensor, offering flexibility for different needs. For Quick Test (Spot Measurement), users select a location avoiding stones, insert the sensor vertically without shaking, and take multiple readings for averaging—turning the device into a handy portable tool for rapid scouting. For Burial Survey (Long-Term Monitoring), users dig a vertical pit (~20cm diameter), insert the sensor horizontally at the target depth, backfill, and compact the soil. This transforms the sensor into a permanent station for trend analysis and model validation. Whether used as a temporary scout or a fixed monitor, the installation is straightforward. This adaptability ensures you get valid, representative data whether you need quick checks or long-term logs.

On-Site Networking: Free Monitoring Software via RS485
Showing a wired network architecture, this Soil Moisture Sensor connects multiple units via a standard RS485 bus. Several sensors can be daisy-chained to a USB-to-RS485 converter and plugged into a PC running free monitoring software. The interface displays real-time data, over-limit alarms, historical queries, and data export functions. This enables centralized local monitoring without cloud dependency—perfect for farms with limited internet access or labs requiring offline data security. As a network-ready device, it simplifies data management whether you’re configuring a cluster of sensors or a single unit, keeping your data private and accessible.
Free Cloud Platform: Remote Access & Scalable Management
Depicting an end-to-end IoT ecosystem, this Soil Moisture Sensor connects to a Monitoring Host or Network Concentrator, uploading data via the Internet to the free Environmental Monitoring Cloud Platform. Accessed anytime via mobile phone or computer dashboard, the platform features real-time display, limit alarms, historical query, data export, and SMS/email alerts. The platform supports simultaneous data transmission and storage for over 50,000 environmental monitoring devices—empowering large-scale operations from regional agronomy services to municipal park systems. As a connected device, it brings your fields to your fingertips, enabling global oversight and instant reaction. This is the ultimate tool for the future of data-driven agriculture.

FAQs - Soil Moisture Sensor
Since the electrodes directly measure the electrical conductivity (EC) of soluble salt ions in the soil, the soil volumetric water content must be higher than approximately 20% for the soluble ions to correctly reflect the soil’s conductivity. For long-term monitoring, measurements taken after irrigation or rainfall are closer to the true soil conditions.
For rapid measurements, water can be added to the target soil area first, and the measurement should be carried out after the water has fully infiltrated.

When measuring in hard soil surfaces, drill a pilot hole (diameter smaller than the probe diameter), then insert the sensor into the soil and compact the soil around it before taking measurements. The sensor should be protected from strong vibrations and impacts, and must not be struck with hard objects.
Since the sensor is encapsulated in a black housing, it may heat up rapidly under direct sunlight (above 50 °C). To prevent high temperatures from affecting temperature measurement accuracy, please take measures for shading and protection when using the sensor in the field.

Our company provides customers with five output modes: RS485, Lora, 4-20ma, 0-5v, 0-10v, and USB.
- Place the fixed sensor between the plants at the desired depth.
- Mark the place where the sensor is placed to prevent the sensor from being damaged.
- Do not install the sensor near the pivot wheel track, and make sure that the sensor is in direct contact with the soil and has minimal interference to the soil during the installation process.
You can use the cloud platform provided by our company for free.
